As someone still in the old t-shirt phase, I think I might be convinced to buy a nightgown. These look so chic and comfortable!

The old t shirt phase, I’m convinced, is universal. I feel you, it was difficult for me to invest in pjs at all to be honest❤️❤️ The one thing that’s great about some high quality white nightgowns though, is that most are 100% cotton and white, which makes my life easier when it comes to laundry. I just toss 1/4 cup bleach in every 5-6 loads and they bright again.

I feel like I should be carrying around a chamber stick in candlelight to get water before bed 😂🩵

I am with you on putting yourself together for bedtime. It feels like you're doing something kind for yourself. But am I crazy for looking at all these nightgowns you shared and thinking I would wear those in public? Ha. They're so cute!

No! I totally think we could be sporting these to the Saturday farmers market, running errands, or heading to brunch. For a long time, I didn’t associate bedtime with being “pretty” or “elegant”—but honestly, I wasn’t treating weekday errands that way either.

Writing this post (and actually wearing a nightgown to bed) made me realize: why not let my clothes work for me? Who says a nightgown has to stay in the bedroom, or that elegance is only reserved for dinner parties? We don’t have to shove ourselves into these little boxes—bedtime doesn’t have to mean slicking your hair back and layering on goop. You can feel soft, feminine, and beautiful whenever you want.

And yes, if that means a nightgown at the farmers market… I support that fully.

Absolutely! I have done this a time or two - a top meant for pajamas, I wore with jeans to lunch, or something like that - but I always felt like I had to be sure no one knew! Which is so silly but, whatever. Anyway. Now that I have your permission, I will do that proudly!
